[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ar500 plate difference question

Can anyone comment on the difference between the ar500.com plates and the ones from TargetMan? The steel seems the same, the cut similar, coating Rhino Vs. Linex........am I missing anything other than Targetman being a bit less expensive?

Not sure about ar500.com but Targetman sends a certificate with the plates that gives the ballistic rating. I got a deal from him when I got a discount.

I think the cut of the plates are also different.

I will replace these when I get some more dough. Right now I'm a little broke from all the splurging.

In the industry section at the bottom is a targetman section and he is pretty responsive you should ask there.
I know his plate is Omega which is a different process and makes it stronger from what they have posted, the other does not mention that its Omega.
