This seems like a really appealing option to have plates and pouches(or just a front plate) for 200 bucks. It can withstand multiple hits and is IIIA, can anyone here recommend it or for a HD/SHTF/etc. scenario, would I be better off getting a more expensive plate carrier for more versatility/protection (i.e. Level IV).
I plan to run it in conjunction with a battlebelt. |
| I picked one of these up not too long ago. I wanted something simple I could keep under the bed and put on in five seconds in a "bump in the night scenario." I beefed it up with another Kevlar panel in the back and dropped a plate in front. It holds three extra AR mags and a 22 round mag for my G23. Mine is well made and looks like it will serve my purpose well. |

I have been thinking about picking one up, and added a pouch for a trauma plate. Something like this positioned over your heart:http://thetargetman.com/?product=rhino-lined-ar500-omega-armor-side-plates-formed-for-comfort Seems like it would give you a quick to put on and light weight package, but still offer decent protection, I only wish the plate backers were a little bit longer. |
