Looking at finally getting around to making my own gear, but for the idea I have in mind, I need some stuff that I can't find.
Who sells coyote brown 4" and 3" elastic? Also, does anyone sell sheets of hook and loop? Like 12x12? What is the nylon edging called? Edge tape? Seam tape? And where to get it? Thanks! |
| http://www.rockywoods.com/ would be a good place to start. And the stuff you are looking for is called binding tape or Grosgrain ribbon. |

And thanks!! Rockywoods sells by the yard, T-5038 Type II 1" webbing, aka grosgrain ribbon or edge binding tape in coyote, black, OD, foliage, Tan499, Multicam, UCP and AOR1: http://www.rockywoods.com/Welcome-to-Rockywoods-Outdoor-Fabrics?search=grosgrain 3" and 4" Coyote Mil-spec elastic is hard to find by the yard. You can buy it by the roll from K&W Webbing by the roll: http://www.kwwebbing.com/kwwebbingco_003.htm If you are making more than just a couple items, it will be cheaper to buy the edge tape by the roll from K&W, John Howard Co, Gerald Schwartz Inc, etc, same goes for 1" nylon 17337, 43668, 55301, webbing, it adds up quickly. |
