What are the dimensions of the Banshee cummerbund soft armor inserts?
I looked on TAG's and Shellback's site for answers. I called the number listed but they did not know. I want to see if these will fit a SKD PIG soft armor cummerbund. Thanks. |

Anyway, as someone who has shoved things in to a Banshee cummerbund, I can tell you that I could not get get a regular piece of cardboard cut to 6" tall to go in through the mouth of the cummerbund pocket. Anything that is going in there is going to need to be slightly under 6". I would not expect an insert cut to a 6" dimension to fit well (without bulging) in a Banshee PC. I could be wrong, but, for example, BPM lists their Banshee cummerbund insert as 5"x13". Given the ~1/4" thickness of a IIIA insert, this is about right...they could probably cut it to 5.5" and have it be good and snug, but slightly undersizing it allows for variations in stiching, etc. It's never not going to fit because it's too small, the same isn't true if it's too big. |
