It's my fathers birthday in the coming week and I would like to get him a chest rig.
The rig needs to be affordable and I would like to keep it to about $50 if possible as I'm on a college budget. He would use the rig for the range and of course any possible SHTF. He has no plans on getting plates anytime soon so it does not need to be compatible for anything like that. I would like it to at least have a few built in mag pouches as I don't want to have to add any pouches off the bat. His main rifle is a mini-14 so it would need to be able to accommodate at least three of the ruger made mags. If it can hold pistol mags as well that would be a plus. As always American made is preferred, however I know that will be hard at this price point. Thanks |

There a couple here on this site. They are a little more but you get quality. I don't have any of these but I wanted to try out the PIG UCR. The PIG UCR also may fit the bill.
