Ok, ARFCOM, school me on range bags. Looking for something that can handle 2-4 pistols, 2-4 boxes of ammo (.40/.45), eyepro, earpro, extra mags (figure 5 each for pistol and AR/M14), has some compartments/pockets for tools and papers, and is DURABLE. Good material, good zippers, good stitching, preferably made in USA.
My iShot bag is busting it's seams and iShot kicked me to the curb, disavowing any obligation to even check out the bag. I might be willing to spend $150 or thereabouts. |

Might try out Galati, a site sponsor. Button above at top of screen. Or buy a couple or three LAPG small/med bags. One bag for stuff you always take to the range, other(s) loaded up just prior to range trip. Midway seems to put out a good bag, and they have sales on them pretty often. Get an earth-tone bag; it usually gets pretty dirty.
I prefer a couple small bags over a single huge one. The bigger the bag, the tougher it is to find stuff at the bottom, and there apparently is some Law Of The Universe that says whatever you need can only be found at the very bottom of your bag. |

I have had a 5.11 range bag for the past three years. As a firearms instructor, I get a lot of use from my range bag and its constantly packed with everything from spare ammo and mags to cleaning equipment and PACT timers. Its a little pricey, but its 3 years now and not a tear, no worn spots and all the zippers are still smooth. it has lots of dividers and pockets to keep everything seperated and organized, padded slots for pistols and such and the straps and handles are comfortable to carry a full bag.
LAPolice gear sells them and I bought mine with a coupon and free shipping for just under $100. Not cheap, but a better deal then the eagle and bagmaster bags that each lasted about a year before they were worn out. |

Here is a site that I have and others have used. http://www.hawkepaks.com/
Last time I and a lady friend of mine used LA Police Gear our credit cards got compromised, mine to the tune of $450.00 for some travel agency out of New York. She never did tell me how much she got hit for. Both times it was traced back to LA Police Gear. Just a heads up!!! |
