I purchased several of the green/black issue water bladder carriers.

I also purchased several of, I think, skillcraft water bladder's.

I cannot seem to get the bladder fill spout to fit through the opening of
the carrier, where the cap goes on.

Is there a certain brand of bladder that goes in these?
Is there a certain way to put these in that I'm doing wrong?

Edited out my previous post, which was added to this post in error.  will re-submit below.  raf

Have you looked at THESE?  If the carriers are issue, Mil Spec bladders should work.

OK, here's what I originally, and mistakenly posted in OP's first post. Staff edit and quote buttons are adjacent; not the first time I've made this mistake.

Anyway, here's what I originally posted in response to the OP's first post:

It is possible that the carriers will fit Camelbak "Long Neck" 100 oz bladders. I do know that a number of bladder mfrs have supplied bladder and hydration systems to the military, Camelbak, Skillcraft, and Hydrastorm being only some of them. Not all these bladders/hoses are identical, so it is also possible that bladder carriers may also not be identical, and thus not interchangeable I presume you have removed both the cap and cap retainer from the neck of the reservoir prior to attempting to fit the reservoir to the bladder carrier.

One normally removes everything from the bladder neck, inserts the bladder into the carrier, and then snaps the reservoir cover over and around the neck of the bladder. It's usually a tight fit; some little force is required. That said, the material of the bladder neck is inelastic, and so is the neck of the bladder carrier. There should be no great, visual disparity between the bladder neck, and the hole for same in the bladder carrier"

Now that he has posted a pic of the bladder carrier, here's my next comment:

If the opening in the bladder carrier is too small for the bladders you currently have, then I would suggest to NOT open-up the hole in the bladder carrier, but to buy bladders designed to fit the carrier.  The neck-hole is the only thing supporting most bladders, and it requires a tight fit so that things don't fall apart.  Measure the hole in the bladder carrier, and I will compare it to mine, which are compatible with Camelbak bladders.  That way you will know.  IIRC, your bladder carrier has a narrow neck opening, consonant with the early, narrow-neck, "Long Neck" Camelbak bladders.

In the meantime, look for inexpensive Camelbak bladders, which I reckon your carrier will accept, making a very preliminary guess by eye.  They often pop up here: www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com, but try Old Gtouch surplus, a site sponsor, also.

As for the Skillcraft bladders.  Since Skillcraft, AFAIK does not have the tactical accessory support that Camelbak and (to a lesser extent) Hydrastorm do, I would not consider spending a lot of money on them.  If you bought them cheap, sell them to folks who have bladder carriers made for them.  FWIW, most users say that Camelbak bladders seem to do all right, but other makes maybe not so much.  I would strongly suggest you visit both Camelbak's and Hydrastorm"s sites and consider which bladder system you think is the most versatile.  I doubt--just by looking-- that Hydrastorm system bladders will fir your carriers.

I bought the full set when USRO had them cheap (regretting not buying more). I looked at it last night; the bladder is a Camelbak product and has it's own NSN. When I get home tonight I can try to post pics and the numbers.
