Hey guys... I need to know if 6x6 Stealth Plates / special threat fit into
the Banshee's Cummerbund. I do realize that you are supposed to just put soft armor inside the Cummerbund and attach Plate Pouches onto the PALS webbing but those Stealth Plates are just 1/4" thick and just *might* fit... Does anyone know or has the time to just hold a ruler next to his Banshee? the Plates are really only about 6mm thin, don't confuse them with the brown stand-alone 6x6 Plates, those are 3x as thick! Thanks in advance for your help! |

Thanks in advance for your help! I very sincerely doubt a 6" actual height anything is going to fit in the cummerbund. I cut some pieces of cardboard to shove in the cummerbund to test this out, and a 6" actual dimension piece simply will not go, and even trimmed down 1/8-1/4" undersized I still had to flex it and bend the corners to get it in. The cummerbund is certainly most narrow at the openings, and I will say with certainty you are not getting a 6" actual plate through the opening without unstitching it, and I doubt a 6x.25" plate will fit even if you unstitch the mouth. My cummerbund measures 6 3/16" stitch to stitch, but I would not expect any real consistency considering they couldn't even get PALS spacing correct. |

is your Banshee an older one or does it already have the MOLLE webbing on the Cummerbund's inside?? I'm not up on what may or may not be an "older" one, but my cummerbund does have MOLLE on the inside, albeit with fucked up spacing, some not serviceable (I know because I had to unstitch it and fix it just to get my plate pockets attached.) |
