Anyone know anything about this armor plate?  Never seen one before with a single clipped corner.  From what I can tell it is a Single curve about ~1" think,  has a soft/squishy outer layer that is covered by the olive drab canvas.   There are no other markings on it other than the "Do Not Drop"

It's a right handed shooters cut. I can't say I remember what era it's from though I believe it may be immediately post-"chicken plate".
Of course I can in no way reference this to a legitimate source of info so it would be my guesstimation only.

I think those were given to Rangers in the first Desert Storm in '91-ish.  Supposed to be similar to the original SAPI in terms of rating, but I wouldn't trust them after all these years.

Yup, it's the old Ranger Armor. Put it on a scale for a laugh....... I still have one at my Parents, I'll see if Mom will bring it up next time she comes to visit.

If you think that's cool, try and find a left-handed front plate.

No, that's not sarcasm.

Yup, we wore RBA's in Bosnia in 2002.  After that experience I welcomed the IBA when we got them later that year.
