Does anyone have or know about the fit, quality of the Snugpak Bergen Backpack?
Still trying to get a good ruck that is large enough to hold gear for the winter.
I would prefer one with molle in green but don't want to spend $600.
Here is what I'm talking about:

I have one (the smaller Rocket Pack) and it is actually pretty decent for the price. I got mine a while back for a great price before I bought my Kifaru packs. The material isn't real Cordura nylon but it seems to hold up well.

It is fairly well padded in the right places and the frame keeps it relatively comfortable. The integral rain covers work pretty well and the "rockets" really let you scale the pack to different sized loads. The pack is pretty large and would handle a typical winter hiking trip very well (the Bergen is probably larger than I would need). There are also a number of places to lash things to the outside of the pack. I also picked up the extra yoke that lets you use the rockets as a small day pack - which is handy for once you have hiked in to your camping spot and don't want to ruck your whole pack around.

One thing that some people like and others don't is that they ride fairly high. The waistbelt sits higher than many are used to. I actually grew to like this since it let me run a slightly dropped holster on my pants belt. I suspect that they intentionally designed it to ride high to allow the use of a load bearing belt. I also have a longish torso so it may fit you differently.

I now use one of my Kifaru or Mystery Ranch packs but the Bergen is a pretty good value. I should probably sell the Rocket Pack but I haven't been able to make myself do it.
