| So I have been looking at getting some kind of tactical vest for years now but other stuff always seemed to come up so I never went forward. I always assumed it would be some type of Black Hawk Vest because I never really new anything else existed. Well about 2 months ago I started browsing on the Tactical Gear forums here and eventually found my way to the "Bae Brav-AF". I wasn't necessarily in the market for a plate carrier but I haven't been able to find any vest that I like better that isn't a plate carrier. Now from what I have read here and have found out by looking for it on the web this isn't the essayist vest to acquire. I have found it available at SKD Tactical but it doesn't look as though they Carrie any of the molle gear that goes along with it nor can i find it available any other place. My question is what other type of molle pouches can I use on this and in specific can I use Eagle molle gear on it. Also any first hand opinions/experience that any one might have with this plate carrier would be greatly appreciated. |

So if i don't have any soft armor inserts with the vest there is no point in getting this? Is there any place were i can get soft armor inserts that will sell to civilians? and last if i can't make this vest work can anyone recommend a vest that would and would be similar in design?

Start without armor and come up with a plan for you not to get shot for starters
Outside of that it would be counterproductive to recommend anything until you have mastered fundamentals You need to know your limitations before encumbering yourself. By not knowing the difference in what the RBAV and a general plate carrier platform, shows that you have not engaged in a reasonable amount of background research. Why do you need it, what are the threats, how would its wear impact my performance etc. These are all ?s that i would ask if the question was posed directly to me |
