I'm angling towards the Midway range bags, myself. Seems like a good combination of price and value. I don't doubt thet the Eagle is better made, but I doubt the extra $$$ is worth it. Not owning either, but having examined the two items, and read owner reviews, that's just an opinion.
I might add that it might be preferable to carry two small range bags instead of one large one. Point being that the smaller bags carry less weight, and aren't nearly as stressed as a single, large bag carrying the whole kit and kaboodle. I bought two small OD range bags from LAPG for $10 each, and they are doing OK so far. Appear well-made, and well-finished. don't show the dirt like black, and I wouldn't own a blue range bag, no offense. They are fairly small, and so perhaps better for carrying one or two similar pistols and their associated ammo/accessories than every pistol you own. What I do is put together a small/medium size range bag for very similar pistols and all their ammo and junk. IOW, I toss a couple of 1911s in one bag, some mags, ammo, and cleaning stuff/accessories. That way, organization is easier; I can easily pick what I want instead of lugging everything, and life is easier for the bag. If one bag should blow out, I still have a few others, and then I can re-assess what to buy to replace the dead bag. YMMV. Carrying everything is what amounts to a medium-sized suitcase seems to me to complicate things. One spends more time looking for the exact, needed item than it is worth. No matter how well a big bag is internally organized, it will be inferior to a couple or three of decently organized small bags dedicated to very similar pistols. Again, YMMV. BTW, OP, what make of bag blew out, and how long did it take to become so? |

i have the midway range bag and it is pretty well made. It seems solid, prob not as good as eagle but worth the $40.00. I would endorse the midway range bag any day. You will not be disappointed if you buy the midway bag. The bag is as good if not better than the eagle bag. |

The Eagle Deluxe Shooter Range Bag is a great medium sized range bag, If you want a large range bag I would recommend the 511 Range Bag, it has more than enough room for damn near everything and a couple of extras too http://www.lapolicegear.com/5tarabag.html |

OP, do you need a tactical bag? I'm all about the tacticool, but I have a Dewalt tool bag
http://www.amazon.com/Heavy-Duty-Ballistic-Nylon-Tool-Bag/dp/B0006JO2CM/ref=dp_cp_ob_hi_title_0 They are designed to carry a ton of tool weight,so your range stuff will be good to go, plus they're pretty cheap at under $25 |
