Couldn't remember if either 1/4" or 1/2" seam, its 1/4". Do use 1/2 on one short side for edge Attached File Sew box together (good sides facing in) along other 3 edges 1/4" seam and turn inside out. Attached File Box/X stitch pile velcro far side, insert foam but don't sew foam yet. Flip over and sew hook velcro. Attached File Now fold velcro over unto itself locking it. Center foam, unfold and W stitch pattern foam. Attached File Put shoulder pads in place. Have fold against neck to prevent open ends rubbing neck. Note: shoulder pads not needed worn under clothing, nice to have for external wear however. Another note to self, maybe use softer 500 denier Cordura instead of 1000. Attached File |

Originally Posted By wsix: Nice work. Are the mag holders in the pic part of the range bag or are they placards? Pistol mag holders are velcro back and rifle has velco on both sides. There's pile velcro inside and out for the mag carriers to hook to. They also can go unto my plate carriers for quick reload. PC is made with a 3 AR mag cell and Range bag usually just comes with one 3 cell Pistol and 3 cell Rifle. These guys asked for 2 per and 4 cell pistol. They shoot everyday. |

Anyone have experience with strange times tactical/enamel pie? Just saw their modular placard/chest rig setup on EOD fish, really liking the look of the features on that setup. Planning on ordering the placard and wings to set up my PC with the cummerbund running overtop of the mag cells full time, I found myself liking the traap as a standalone chest rig a little more than I expected after slapping some kywis in it. |

I can’t say enough good things about the T3 gear tomahawk LC, it was sub-$140 for black friday. Might still be on sale. Got some adhesive velcro to get some pads on that won’t slide around, that’s about all I’ve had to complain about. Dual QD shoulders actually works nicely with it, too, since having a 1” cobra buckle on the dominant side eliminates a shelf where your buttstock likes to snag when the strap is hard mounted with a plastic D-ring. Routing comms is a little awkward when you want your radio on the side that you frequently disconnect, though. Thought about mounting a wing to the rear bag, and running everything up that and over the shoulder, it’s got a nice space under the outer molle to secure stuff with onewrap, and gets any antenna out of your way. This also frees up that wing real estate up front, assuming your comms SOP lets you set and forget, for the most part. |
