You can tell if it is ESAPI because on the back it will usually have the words "7.62 APM2 Protection". ESAPIs are thicker as well and are usually 3/4 of an inch thick. They all were made 2005 and later for the most part.
However, unless you bought them from a legitimate company new, they are probably stolen US plates... If they have the U.S. on them like the picture does, they are stolen. The government has never surplused SAPI plates, so near 100% of the ones in the wild are stolen. |

I'm glad someone is point this out...yea, as much as we'd all like to have a set of plates or two, if you are doing business with an individual, chances are good (bad) that this is true and should be avoided on an ethical basis. If no SAPIs were ever DX'ed (I didn't know this) you can bet no E-SAPIs ever were, either. |
