I have seen a lot of pics of it in an area filled with concrete or an area with a greyish dirt.  Does anyone have any pics of it in more diverse areas?  Especially areas of desert that have more of a reddish hue?

I plan to get some pics of it out and about later this week or this weekend.  I do not know if I have any reddish dirt around though.

Not much desert around here

We have sand dunes to the west of us, but everywhere else is covered in trees. So this camo could be useful if you were hiding out there, but nowhere else..

Here is a photo I had taken of just my pants in the yard next to the winter bougainvillea. I like the way the shadowing works.

These are some great "green" shots of the camo. Took a little time on the first and last one to find it.

These guys have some desert photos

I couldn't get your link to work for me

Those photos were taken by a dealer who sells a-tac. Just staying not the most impartial source

They do have some cool stuff, like a picture of the Ares ruck in Atac

I think there's too much shade variation. It goes too quickly from dark to light over too small an area.  Still kinda cool

Can you post those pics or link to the thread with the atacs on concrete?
Maybe I made the wrong decision with multicam for urban camo.

Link seems to be working, but maybe its just me. A-TACS has a bunch of concrete photos, but these are all promo shots. I was thinking about going out to similar environments with broken slabs and concrete conduit. There are a lot of dump areas with these types of items laying around.

Does anybody know if the military is testing or using any of this? It looks really good to me; kinda like the next step up from multicam.

Eggrolly implied that some units had it. i think he was implying some commando types who can buy whatever they want had it for use in the mountains, but maybe i am reading too much into what he said.

All I did was think his name and he appeared!

Uh oh... Aimless is fantasizing  :)   There are some folks using the pattern, is it going to replace MC? No... it will be a corollary option for those needing it to match the environment necessary.

that is all.

I can assure you my fantasies don't involve you or Atacs, individually or in any combination.

I have seen a photo of Aussie SpecialOps wearing a pack in A-TACS but not the Uniform yet, though I have read of them trialling them there.

It looks so much like the painted grey improvised camoflage the JNA sponsored fighters used in Bosnia in the '90s.  I really like it.
