[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gotye Armor

Hey y'all. I recently heard about this company called Gotye ( http://www.gotye.cn ). I've done some googling and searching around and haven't found anything on them. I know it's some Chinese company that I probably wouldn't trust, but was wondering if anyone out there may have heard or had any experience with this company or their products. Thanks!

I wouldn't use it just because it's HDPE. That material has problems with melting with contact shots.
The HDPE plates will often stop the lighter faster 55gr 5.56mm, but not the steel core M855. Neither of which are part of the NIJ testing btw.
