After having a brief discussion here while looking for a small admin/gp pouch for the chest area of my vest, I went with the HSGI Pogey Pouch in smoke green.

It looks like it will work well for what I need it for.  It's a little bit bigger than I expected and needed some minor mods for my use.  First, HGSI chose to use all metal zippers that clang around like reindeer bells.  I had to snip them off and use some elastic cord I had for silent zipper pulls (I didn't have any green paracord).  I also think the flap was a waste of material and does little to keep the flap from moving (which was the reason I was given for it's existence).  It also adds more sound should I need to open it when I'm otherwise attempting to be quiet.  So I cut it off.

If I can remember I'll post pics of it on the vest later and follow up with how it works out in the long run.  It is short enough and thin enough that it looks like it won't interrupt my mag changes.

LOL, I had some Esstac pouches that were very noisy like that.  Good to see that you modified it to fit your needs.   So many I know are hesitant (Afraid?) to cut, snip, sew, paint or somehow change gear from the way it came new.  Yet they modify their car/truck like no tomorrow...

Ordered me one today.  I also like to see folks unafraid to make the gear work for them.

Pics of the pouch mounted. Another issue I found is that the center of the molle on my vest is stitching with the loops mirrored across the vest on both sides. The center of the molle on the pouch is a loop instead of stiching so it couldn't be mounted dead center on the vest. It works anyway, I'm just borderline OCD and wanted it centered. I'll survive though.

LOL! The channels on the back are odd numbered. The pouch had to be small enough to fit on a MOLLE belt, but not too large that it wraps around too much.

The zippers do jingle, and can be silenced with shrink tubing or 550 cord.

The guys locally who wear em on their chests said they mount em closer to the weak side..

As I see in your pic you can mount a small Multi-Tool or flashlight pouch next to it..

All the things that I needed to carry ended up fitting in the pouch. The contents include:

Flashlight w/lanyard
Pen
Notepad
4 CR123's in a plastic carrier
Several feet of cord
Surefire earplugs in plastic case
Two squares of rolled up duct tape
Rubber door stop

Got mine today.  Very cool pouch.  I will be cutting off the zipper pulls and replacing them with paracord, they jingle like crazy.  Not that I am need of ninja sound discipline, just a little annoying.
