Been shopping for some good cargo pants that are durable and have been mostly looking at 5.11 stuff.

However, I stumbled upon a brand called "Propper" on amazon, and they are directly comparing themselves to 5.11

Does any1 have experience with this brand? Any good?

Product Description
When Propper committed to developing Tactical Pants they did so with the single mission of offering the highest quality, most functional Tactical Trousers on the market at the lowest possible price. 5.11 did a nice job adapting an alpine climbing pant for tactical use, but Propper Tactical Pants were designed from the ground up for the demands of law enforcement. While cotton has its applications, Propper realized that making the most durable Tactical Pants around was not one of them. Instead they chose a superior polyester / cotton blend to withstand the daily abuses inherent with service in the line of duty. And because you're more comfortable with a weapon in your hand than an ironing board, these pants were designed to be wrinkle and fade resistant. They topped off these beauties with a DupontTeflontreatment making them one the most functional trousers on the planet. With a price under thirty bucks, it's no wonder they're flying out the door, and shaking up the industry.

ive bought a lot of pants at LApolice gear.

for $15 they are basically toss away pants after a X amount of wear.

I wouldnt mind getting something that will hold up though, even if it costs 3x as much.  I find the stitching to fail typically in the cheaper stuff.

I wear a set from BDU.com.  I paid in the upper 20's for them.  I got the 60/40 ripstop and am really happy.  I beat my pants up pretty good and they have held up fairly well.  I am looking at getting a set in multicam.

Mine have held up well to light to medium use. Not abused them hard yet.

The Propper 'Tactical Pants' are not the same as the cheap $15 Tactical  trousers from LA Police Gear.

I have used the Propper pants for years (I also got them thru BDU.com). I wear them every day at work
and the Teflon treatment does help protect them from all kinds of stuff (we use sharpie markers all over the place) and
the occasional food spill from lunchtime gluttony.

I do have just one gripe:

The material used for the front pocket linings is kinda thin (not as robust as the rest of the garment).
My house keys wore a hole in the pocket lining in two pairs (after about 18 months), so I stopped putting my keys in the front
pockets. I have notified Propper about this and they said that they will look into it.

Other than that, they are 100% good to go.

The Propper tactical trousers are great.  Being a short guy, they are some of the only cargo style pants I have found that I don't have to get hemmed.

This, I have harsh environment experience with my Propper Tactical Pants with good results.  I really like how they have a separate pocket inside the large rear pocket for your wallet-its placed high for those of us more "seasoned" dudes with sciatica.  The weight I think is better for the temps we get in the SW.  I rate them higher that 5.11, even though the stitching doesn't look as rugged as the 5.11's.  I haven't managed to rip any seams on them yet, and I think they hold color better than the 5.11s.

I have a couple of pairs of these, they're fine. Better design than 5.11 because of the wallet pocket and no stupid loop for the chalk bag, or clips or whatever. Mine have held up well

Propper is fantastic.  I wear them almost exclusively at work (EMT) as well as my wife (paramedic).  For the price they can't be beat.  They fit well and have a lot of the same features as 5.11 products at half the cost.

bdu.com & tacticalpants.com are both squared away companies and great to deal with.
