This looks like a big year for the A-TACS camo pattern at SHOT Show 2011. Many companies look to be coming out with gear and apparel with the A-TACS pattern. I think A-TACS looks great for arid areas and will be excellent for Afghanistan, but how many areas of the USA is A-TACS really going to practical for? Can anyone link pictures of A-TACS in green wooded areas? Thank you. |

as impractical as it may be in certain areas, many will still buy clothing/gear/guns in the pattern im sure.
too many new camos lately...multicam....ATAC...etc. They dont finish creating a line of gear in one type...or issuing a complete set to a branch...and already they are looking at replacing it with new stuff.

| When I first saw ATACS I thought it would be a good camo since it brought in a lot of browns but in the few pieces of gear I've seen made with it there seems to be too light of a color palette being used for my taste. I like the pattern but would prefer coyote brown to be the middle tone. |
| A-TACS has other color variations in the works including a woodland and I've heard will be entering the Army's new camo trials. The reason you're going to be finally seeing a lot more of A-TACS is because the uniform situation finally got figured out. No uniforms was kind of a major speed bump in getting the ball rolling. As soon as the Propper deal was announced I noticed an immediate rise in requests for A-TACS. |

It almost looks like you need glasses when you look at it. Like it's all blurry and out of focus... I also think that it needs matching A-TACS webbing, straps, etc., to go with it. The coyote color is too contrasty against the blur! Its already HERE, but at a cost approaching triple that of regular one color webbing. There is also the printed velcro loop again at a price premium So do you want to pay more for something that can be rattlecanned |

I was referring to the shots above with the coyote brown straps/molle/etc.. |
