Hey all,

I am looking for a new BOB, and I was wonding if you could help.  Right now, I'm using a regular daypack, but I really can't get to my extra mags or my sidearm.  What I would like to get is some sort of satchel that doesn't LOOK tactical and/or agressive because I want to be as low-profile as possible.  In fact, I wouldn't mind carrying this to work everyday, too.  It's gotta look somewhat normal.  Overall, I would like it to house a couple of mags for the M4, a pistol, and some other misc stuff (small light, energy bars, small med kit, etc)

Ok...in summary...
1) Something satchel-like where I can get to the contents while I'm still wearing it
2) Doesn't look too tactical
3) Holds a couple of mags (hopefully has holders for them)
4) Holds a pistol (hopefully has a built in holster)
5) Has some modest room for other misc stuff

Thanks for the help all!

Why don't you ask this in either the Survival Forum or the Survival Gear sections?

here

There is a ton of info there and lots of people who can help you with this.

the maxpedition versapacks/gearslingers are somewhat popular, if you need it satchel-like & "accessible while wearing"

but I am looking at blue force gear micro dap pack for the same idea

inside is lined with velcro, so you buy the dappers to totally customize it for holsters & pouches as needed.  won't be the cheapest option, infact kinda spendy.... but can be had in sheepleflage red, blue ect.  quality is great, (USA)I love the zippers, they are oversized & move easily with one hand

County Comm EOD Bag $24?

http://www.countycomm.com/minebag.htm

Modified Molle II Claymore Pouch made for County Comm by Maratac.   You can put power bars in the mesh pocket or even a Glock17.  Two pockets inside that will hold two 30rd mags in each.  The pouch has blackened brass snaps inside to install a GI 6-mag Molle Bandoleer.

County Comm Bail Out Bag $33?

http://www.countycomm.com/BAILOUTBAGGEN5.htm

Looks more like a range bag, not as low-profile.  Libtards might be intimidated by the appearance, snitch you off for having a gun at work.

Or get the Olive Green Tactical Tailor Ruck closeout over at GreyGhost Outlet for $58:

Add an external Molle pouch with a holster velcroed inside.

My review of the HSGI Armadillo V2 has what you're looking for.

I used a 5.11 bag as my go everywhere bag, most of the time it sits in my backseat on the floor. It has MOLLE on the inside of one side and mag pouches on the outside that may look too 'tactical' for your needs. I'll let the pictures show what it can hold inside, plus room to spare.

The only thing I don't have in there that I still need is a med kit and a light duty cleaning kit.

Thanks for the replies, gang!   I really like the HSGI option, but the 511 is interesting, too.  The HSGI (although pricey) looks like it would be exactly what I want.  Maybe I'll save my pennies and give that a shot.

If anybody else has ideas, I'd love to hear them, too...

I have the same bag and absolutely love it.  It's perfect for what it was intended to do.
