I'm looking to get some rifle plates, but I need at least a L or XL set. Other than bulletproofme.com, are there other place to order L or XL plates from? I saw grey group had some, but they where over $1000 a plate.
Thanks, Marco |

If you don't trust used, you can check Interamer, Point Blank, or Security Pro USA. Try searching here for reviews and experiences on them before you pull the trigger, in case anyone's had a particularly good or bad time.
If you do trust used, I've got a pair of Large ESAPI I've been thinking of moving. |

Make sure you REALLY need Large or X-Large SAPIs. Most people take mediums. If you go too large thinking it will offere more protection, you can lose flexibility, mobility, and have the plate press into your legs or throat when you sit down.
Another place to get good plates at reasonable prices is SRSTactical. They have 10X12 (Medium) stand alone level IVs for the mid $200s per plate. Nothing wrong with bulletproofmes plates. I run a pair of their 10X12 SAPI plates and they weigh less than 6 pounds a piece and protect up through M193 and M855. That is really good. I also run their 6X6 side plates they now offer. |

Like size 54 coat 36" waist wide, and I find any bigger than 10x12 is really awkward to use with a rifle. YMMV ETC. Gall's has a pretty good deal on level IV plates, .mil and LEO can get the same a few bucks cheaper at US Cav. http://www.galls.com/style.html?assort=general_catalog&style=TE770 http://www.galls.com/style.html?assort=general_catalog&style=TE897 http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=18147&tabid=137 |
