Hi all,
I've been looking for a way to mount a belt holster to a molle setup, and I"m not having any luck. I'm sure that there is some sort of little gizmo out there to convert it for me, but I have no idea what to search for. I've worn google out trying to find what I'm looking for, but no dice. If anyone knows what it's called, I'd much appreciate a heads up. |

I've got a ton of different holsters. That's why I'm wanting a universal thing to try them all That's probably not gonna happen. Safariland and Blackhawk make MOLLE adapters for their belt holsters. If you want to use a GI M12 or an ALICE-compatible holster, you can buy an adapter from several vendors on eBay. |

Additionally, there's the MOLLE adapters which allows you to hang "belt loop" equipped sheaths on PALS equipped gear. As an example: See Tactical Tailor's 90 Degree Panel:
The 90 Degree Panel gives you the ability to mount a modular holster or pouch at a 90 degree angle on your gear. Includes two long and two short MALICE CLIPS® for different mounting options. Available in Coyote Brown, OD, Black, Tan and Foliage Green (ACU).
MADE IN THE USA Measurements: 3" x 6" Available Colors: Product Options Color: Select Color: ACU OD Black Coyote Brown Your Price: $18.00 Can't think why that wouldn't work. Maybe not optimally IMO, but it would get your holster on the vest. |

Really depends on the holster.
Safariland's MLS is a neat setup allowing you to take any T pattern Safariland holster and be able to run it any way you can imagine. For a vest it uses a plate with a special hook that locks in the webbing. On a belt the plate is simply mounted to the belt loop. The holster has a locking fork on it that you just slide onto the plate and it locks in place.. won't move at all. I've got this setup.. what's nice is you get a new holster all you need to do is add a fork to it and you can use it with your existing mounts. I've got a mounting plate on my TT MAV and on a duty belt loop. When my 6004 gets here I'll put one on the leg shroud too. Blade-Tech's TMMS is similar and they are also of very high quality. I'm moving away from them because I don't care for the hardware used on their holsters. The downsides to both are.. they won't work for most concealment holsters. |
