Is the female SR buckle attached to the flap with a brass brad like other HSGI stuff?  As a follow up, has anyone any experience with the snapdragon buckles used as closures on a mag pouch?  Custom X Sponjah, I would especially appreciate your thoughts.

Yes on the brad...they hold up just fine...some (cheaper) places use a big staple.

In the past , HSGI used a brass staple to secure the female portion of the SR buckle down . We were and understand that we are the only company that does this other than companies whom use the back-plate style . Now , we use is a double sided rivet to secure the f/SR buckle .
The main reason we use this method is that backing plates cover up any hook that may be used on the opposite side of a flap or such . Now that in today's  society about weight issue where everyone bitches about an extra .oz or two (Pussies)(sarcasm) , having the other style of SR buckle with an extra 3" x 2" webbing sewn within makes the kit lighter ! (End Sarcasm)

My apologises for the micro rant , just woke up wearing a rag this mourning . Time for road trip on the MC !
