It's rough to get irons mounted, because that DBAL-D2 overarches so much that i'd have to move it back really far, and that looks stupid. The backup is the DBAL. BUIS would be a backup to the backup, so I removed them. I keep considering adding them back, or buying a very thin set, or doing something to make a set work, but it is just so rough with the D2.
I am considering top-mounting it with a LEAF sight, but then I lose the location of my OKW, and I really like using the clicky cap. The illuminator housing is just soooo stupidly bulky that nothing really works well near it. I mean, I guess having BUIS midway down the handguard would make it similar to an AK sight radius, so it isn't like it wont work, it'll just look stupid. I know you're nitpicking, but so am I, and it would be nice to have. I'm considering dropping the 3-1 for the Trijicon 1-8 FFP i had on it before, because i really liked that setup.

As for the QuikClot questions, it is used pretty commonly to help stop bleeds. I'm no EMT/RN/MD/DO, but every nurse I know who has a kit has a lot of it, my family members and friends who have deployed like it, I like it, and in some videos I've seen of people with medical knowledge being shot, they ask for it right away. Most recently, when the officer in the Breonna Taylor incident got shot by her boyfriend, severing his Femoral Artery, he was on the bodycam footage screaming at the other cops to get some QuikClot on the wound before applying anything else.
QuikClot powder is also good for moderately sized cuts and gashes, where items like a tourniquet is overkill, and the use of a compression bandage might not be enough. If you have a very long, yet not super deep cut, pouring that on it and then wrapping it tightly would work, as opposed to using say 4 israeli bandages to cover the entire area, or applying a tourniquet. I fell down a steep hill and got a 6" gash down my arm from a treebranch or something, quikclot powder with normal gauze under a compression wrap is what was used.
The QuikClot gauze is nice, too, because it is an extra layer of clotting stuff. I figure for a gunshot wound, TQ first if necessary, then QC powder, then QC Gauze, then the israeli bandage. For any other wounds with a moderate amount of bleeding, it is nice to have that extra clotting ability over normal gauze if needed. You don't double-layer QC gauze AFAIK, but you can put QC powder in, then one QC pad down, and then add a second or fifth pad of normal gauze on top of that if you need to.

The Israeli Bandage has a little "locking area" like the plastic arms on the CAT, except without nearly the same amount of pressure, and no windlass. It allows for much more pressure than a normal compression wrap would, but allows for enough bloodflow as to not cause damage or pain like a TQ.

This bigger kit is not just for one-person use. The IFAK is for just one person, be it me or someone else, whereas the big kit is for a few people (or one seriously F'd up dude) if needed. The IFAK has just enough stuff in it for one person with a passthrough chest wound or a limb wound.
I got my numbers wrong, I got 3 TQs total, those chest seals in the medkit on the PC are doubles making 4 there, so 6 total, and I have a second israeli bandage in the medkit on the PC, for a total of 3. I don't plan on being shot, I also don't plan on ever needing any of this gear at all, but if I do need it I want to make sure I have everything I need to have. Gauze weighs next to nothing, quikclot powder weighs next to nothing, and it is all relatively inexpensive considering how useful it might become, so I have a decent amount of it.

Not to state the obvious but with the length of your rail, you could mount a folding BUIS at 12 o’clock and easily have the same (or better) sight radius as a FSB equipped M4. Who gives a flying f@ck if it “looks bad”. Form follows function.

Thoughts on gear?

I do not carry 2 pistols, I switch between throwing that chest rig with g19 and my bob in the trunk so keep that in mind lol
All mags are g17 so I can use in both pistols
I can run slick on the pc or attach the chest rig.
Midwest armor level 4 plates
G19x with trl1
Mk18 sbr
Extra 123’s
Extra lube
Surefire g2xle
Leatherman
2 Tq’s
2 total trauma kits
I need new gloves so I know that
I’d like some tan crye pants
Big soft taco on belt is great for loose ammo for drills, water bottles or extra mags in a pinch
If didn’t take a pic but I have a bob with survival basics, water, change of clothes, ammo, rope etc that rides with me

I have that same exact Arc'teryx jacket! Fucking awesome jacket, but I have lost a lot of weight and now mine is too loose. Sucks because they are so expensive and that particular color isn't available anymore. Now I need to find another. Edit: They have them for sale at the Arc'teryx outlet...

What/which pouches are you rocking on the "bib" portion? I half feel that it would be prudent for me to add some sort of kydex or hdpe "stiffener" into the pocket to make it more useful for admin type stuff, but I am undecided as of yet.

0 wobble.  Make sure you extend the arms so the ear pieces fit over your ears.  Then they are rock solid.  I ordered the arms from HCC Tactical during black friday (big sale) so just received them today.  About 60 days.  Worth the wait.
