Don't get Peltor Tac 6's. I've had two, sent one back, and they both screwed up the same way. The right ear hearing went out. Other people have had the same experience too.

The Peltor ComTacs are awesome, but if your not wearing them everyday, and you don't need the 2 way communication look at TacSports

MSA Sordin Supreme Pro-X's with gel ear seals. They're waterproof unlike peltors and they run twice as long on fewer batteries than peltors.
For plain old plugs you can not beat Surefire EP-3's.
