Hey all, I was invited to play some paintball with some hardcore players. I know most wear camo and some of these guys even wear ghillie suits. This is outdoors in a wooded area. I am right on the edge of sizes, so I'm looking for some opinions. Example, I'm right at 48 inch chest right now, used to be 50, but haven't worked out for a while. I ordered an XXL ACU Coat which is sized for 49 - 53. It arrived yesterday and I feel like I'm wearing a tent. They are poly/cotton ripstop. I'm not sure if I should send it back.So the question is do these all run big... i.e. should I return them and go with one size down, or stick with the bigger size? Do they shrink much? I'm in the same situation with the pants. I'd hate to return these and order smaller then have them be too small? Are the fit/cut of BDU much different than ACU? Any thoughts appreciated. |

I have not found the fit between "acu" and bdu to be different.
when you ordered your XXL coat, did you also order the right length to go with it ? i.e. XXL short, XXL regular, XXL long but seeing that you are now a 48 and what you got is 49-53, I'd say send it back and get the next one down. |

Thanks. Yup, ordered the correct length. I have a stocky build, so I tend to have trouble getting clothes that fit right. I often need to go up a size, such as with pants, if I buy the size that fits my waist, my thighs usually don't fit properly so I end up going up a size and dealing with the waist being too large. I guess I'll order the XL for chest up to 48 and return the one that fits the worst. |
| I have similar issues... I am right between sizes and have trouble finding anything that fits, but im on the smaller end of the spectrum lol. 5'7, 140lb, 38" chest, 32" waist and 29" inseam and on top of all that I have broad shoulders. I just ordered some acu's and hope they fit, but if not the place I got them from is good on exchanges for the right size. |

Their ACU price is less than I'd be paying for Carhart pants or most Jeans and they have discount BDU's in woodland and a few other colors for $19.99. |

It looks like they are a little larger than bdu's are.
The acu shirt I got is just a tad too long, but I would rather have too long than too short (in the sleeves), and it fits nice in the chest and waist - looks like it tapers some but if I had gotten a small it would not have fit what so ever, or it would have been pretty uncomfortable. The acu pants are perfect in the waist, but are a little more baggy and a little longer than the bdu pants of the same size. I wear my bdu pants to school on certain days when I have to wear khakis so they dont need to be baggy, but since I plan to wear the acu's out in the woods, its good to be a little bigger so I can have some room to move. |

I believe thats so they can 'tuck-in' your pants better, if you wear them that way. |

They are poly/cotton ripstop. I'm not sure if I should send it back.
