I bought a used PACA ballistic vest real cheap. Looks fairly new, with no obvious damage. The problem is that it has no nij rating level label in it. Is there any way to tell what rating it is ? i.e , thickness, color, etc Carrier is navy.and it is a concealable vest. Has trama pack in front side of vest ( green ), nothing in back. Vest is a light grey color , with Paca all over.
I DID call local LE to see if any had been stolen. They say no. No LEO markings or tags. Could be hot from other area, but I have no indication of that being the case. Bought off Craigslist, the man said the labels started to peel off and he just helped them along. He did not remember its rating. I am sure it is ay least a levet II Any help is appreciated Rich |

I suggest not doing it this way.

i think what you have is a lvl 3 vest, but their is no telling how the previous user took care of it or anything, heck it might be a knock off smock off...
can you post pictures. In all honesty, not morally ok but for your best interest, consider selling it and buying something you know will work as advertised you said you got a good deal, and something beats the shit out of nothing, but the decision of how to best allocate your funds is up to you |

It is CLEAN with NO creases, folds or any other damage. Naw, if I can't figure out what it is, I will either use as spare or will target shoot with my mp5. Can't sell..... just cuz I don't roll like that ! Hell, I only paid $50.00 for it. The carrier and trama plate are worth more than that. Just figured SOMEONE might have an idea just by description. I did post a couple of pic's. Thanks http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab195/randmplumbingllc/IMG_0828.jpg http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab195/randmplumbingllc/IMG_0829.jpg |
