Rifle pouches hold AR, AK, AR308 and M1A mags. Pistol pouches hold double and single stack no prob. If youre taking something different to the range everytime then G-codes the way to go. Otherwise the cheaper dedicated mag type pouch will save you money. Tacos are versatile too, not sure if they are cheaper, but Ive read tacos dont have a fared insertion lip like the G-code. Meaning mags can catch and roll down the top lip of the taco. Cool, thank you for the info! I’d probably be using them primarily for AR, however I think I’d use them for AK from time to time, so that versatility is nice. As far as attaching to a battle belt, do the pouches stay pretty secure? Thank you again for the info! |

Constructed almost entirely from used parts bought here on Arfcom. Thanks to everyone who sold me pieces of this. Attached File |

Inside of the rifle mag pouch attachements is velcro that interface with the velcro on the inside of your belt. Those are almost impossible to slide around. The pistol pouches use a plastic loop, with inserts for different size belts (circled in red). When you order the loop attachment, you tell them what size your belt is and they send the corresponding insert. The loops are easier to slide around your belt, but they do stay put. They have different options for mouting each type of pouch. On the downside their web site isn't very intuitive, so when deciding on attachments be sure to get all the info you need. I think I’m going to go with them in that case. When I was looking around their website, it did raise more questions as far as attachment methods go. One last question, do you find the smooth backing of the mag carriers causing increased movement with your outer belt (less hook and loop attachment due to the mag carrier clip being between the inner and outer belt)? Thanks again! |

Thanks again! There is definitely some hook/loop realestate being taken up by the attachments. A pack of sticky-back velcro strips from home depot would make a great fix for that. (Stick em to the back of the attachements) @170Driver |

I use it for evidence and guns in real life. On the range it’s good for water, snacks and mags. |

Ok belt gurus - I need some help. I just got an S&S precision holster for my belt setup. Standard molle attachment. However, when the OFFENSIVE HANDGUN is holstered in it, it rides waaay high. So I’ve been looking for something like the downrange gear low ride panel. I’d like to have some kind of a 2-column vertical molle extension so that I can drop it down by probably 2 rows. Seems like that particular adapter is out of stock and maybe discontinued possibly. Is there anything that fits this bill out there? Something like a piece of tegris I could attach to the belt with slots cut to attach the molle to. Attached File Attached File Attached File Also, I’m fully aware I won’t be executing any sub-second draws from this rig. I wanted a somewhat universal holster I can use with my P7, Mk23, and assorted glocks. |

Anyone tried this Nexbelt inner? I've had the same Nexbelt for my daily belt for about 5 years, it's about to be retired from its service, and while looking for upgrades I found this inner. I'm contemplating getting it, as I love the adjustablity, but wondered if any of you had seen it yet? |

Some give is necessary if you are doing a inner/outer belt setup. On my short list to try next are the HSGI and then maybe the V-Tac. |

I have a set of Tactical Tailor padded suspenders, and they're great. However, I usually wear armor over the strap, so a set each of ATS and HSGIs are my primaries (7.62N and 5.56 belts). Take your pick between those two. |

I usually wear inner and outer. Only time I only wear outer is if I’m exercising with the belt on and wearing gym shorts. Side story: I have a shooting buddy who is a bit dense. He’s been wearing his regular belt, then the inner/outer belt over that. One match his regular belt broke and he was having to hold up his pants with his left hand. “Dude!!! Use the inner belt through your belt loops to hold up your pants!” |

Depends on the belt. My esstac and my work duty belts both have velcro so I use a velcro inner belt ran through my belt loops. I'll still throw my gun belt on over a hoodie or sweatshirt if I'm in the cold or practicing dry fire, still works okay. |

Or ratchet it out after drinking a few liters of water. If you want an EDC belt, or just a normal belt to hold your britches up, run that underneath, no sweat. Did an 8 hour pistol course last week with an untucked T-shirt, in 95+ Central Florida weather, sweating like a pig, and that belt didn't move and no hotspots. KORE has a newer laser-cut version instead of sewn MOLLE that's a little slicker, but right now it only comes in black, if it ever comes in OD or FDE or even MC, I'll probably pick one up. @Croak I've been running mech belts for a few years but have been eyeballing the kore for awhile. How does it compare stiffness wise? I like how the mech belt has that overlap and doesn't flex up at the buckle like most belts do under a heavy load at the back. It looks like the kore buckle and keeper would accomplish the same thing. Probably not as rigid as the mech but rigid enough. I love the mech belts but it's tough to get the tension right with it loaded down with shit. Thinking of going to the kore for the heavy belt and retiring the mechs to lighter duty. |
