I wear my belt for hours a day around the farm and I'm in and out of the JSTA all the time. I really like keeping my phone in there so it doesn't freak out and start dialing people when my pockets get sweaty. Plus it's good to tuck other random items I'm working with into. Solidly in the "would buy again" realm. |

Attached File ● Blue Alpha Gear Belt. Contacted them to whip me up a 1.75" that has more molle up to the male bucket end along with routing the tail on the inside of the outer belt instead of the outside. Pretty much just their 2" belt but as a 1.75" ● Esstac Kywi pistol x 2 ● Esstac Kywi rifle mid height ● HSP multi tool pouch ● Leatherman Wave+ ● Zip Tie routed through the molle to quickly stow tools or attach other items ● Tactical Tailor dump pouch ● Coyote Tactical STOMP ● Shotgun retention magnet ● True North Concepts MHA ● Safariland 6390RDS ● ALS nub mod ● Crye Precision frag pouch ● Tyr Tactical frag pouch, to hold spare batteries. I prefer the Tyr because it has a small velcro closer along with the buckle. |
First battle belt! I've always just put the pouches straight on my leather gun belt. Tablet photo warning. ![]() Daltech leather belt I've had for a few years Black Friday Wilder Tactical padded belt size large Safariland holster with an empty G17 Helikon Tex E&E pouch Spiritus JSTA pouch (also had this a while) with a Lunar Concepts 1r1, loaded G17 and 30 round PMag This thing is sticky, I've worn it over jeans and a belt and over athletic shorts and it doesn't move, even during jumping jacks. This is meant to be a crossover belt hence the GP pouch, it'll get replaced with something else but it's what I have at hand. I went back and forth on the belt size, I wear 36 jeans and measured myself right at 40-41", I wanted another belt notch over athletic shorts so I just pulled the tail end out one spot. Holster is probably going back a slot, I have to pull it apart so I can wear the belt to church tomorrow anyway. ![]() Attached File |

Also gives added flexibility of using it with your CCW gear without going full on overt gun belt. Optic for the pistol is next on the list. Black X300 Turbo is also inbound so my tan one can go back to it's G34 I’ve got the T-rex version rigged up to a DZ rig with the buckles meant to tie into a rucksack, it works surprisingly well, and it can be flipped to front or left to sit on top of the rear pouches. Could probably do the same setup for any other molle or two piece belt if you wanted to have it tied together, doesn’t take much in the way of arts and crafts. Anyone here have or tried the Crye airlight SLC blast belt? Little curious if the soft armor belts are worthwhile, or just obnoxious compared to standard padded war belts. |

I asked elsewhere but I imagine this is a good place... what's a minimalist, probably elastic belt pouch to hold a pair of gloves and a packed compression bandage? Had an incident at the range and while this stuff is nearby, I want more literally ON me. For either a regular belt or a Blue Alpha battle belt set up. |

Finally putting a good first line belt setup together. I've read through this whole thtead over the last few months. I'm somewhat stuck on holster choice. This will be used for classes and training and shit that hopefully never hits the fan. My primary pistol will be a G19 or G17. I shoot the G19 the most and feel most comfortable with it but would like a holster capable of accomdating either. Both pistols have RMR sized optics and a TLR-1-HL-X. I'm pretty much set on a 6390 for a G17 but open to suggestios on other level 1 options. What I have on order right now: Asstac: Enhanced Shooters belt 1.75" Double 40° Angled Pistol KYWI Pouch Single 5.56 Midlength KYWI Pouch Belt Mounted Elastic Tourniquet/TQ Holder Flatline Fiber Co: P.I.M.P TQ dangler for PIMP. I'm not sure if I'd have been able to get a large tight enough. @sparky-kb You got me rethinking my sizing now. I'm about to order a Haley D3 belt (once I finally decide between Ranger Green and Multicam). I usually wear a 34 waist pants. When I measured for the belt, I came up with a size Large. Now I wonder if I should go with a Medium like you did. I hate that I'm always right on the line between medium and large. I need to get back in shape lol |

Might also depend on where you wear your pants on your waist/hips. Even if you order the wrong size initially, you can always send it back for a size exchange. |

| It doesn't really matter that much, but how did y'all choose the color of your belt setup. Did you just grab whatever, or did you have some sort of logic to it? |

Originally Posted By m4hooah: It doesn't really matter that much, but how did y'all choose the color of your belt setup. Did you just grab whatever, or did you have some sort of logic to it? Personally, I don't care specifically about all matching camo, as long as it somewhat matches. IE, Atacs generally matches decently with Multicam as an example. Multicam Tropical works well with regular Multicam. I am in the Appalachian, rural, so I lean towards more green than base multicam if possible. The belt's base color doesn't matter, so if it's cheaper, I'm ok with a solid color. As a general rule of thumb, multicam is a decent 'base camo' too. It tends to work decently with most camo types. And it's usually available in whatever you are getting. Also, all the foreign 'multicam' colors work well too, like British MTP. Most are better in my AO than the regular US Multicam. IE, Australia's is more green. As is Slovakia's for instance. But not as green as Multicam Tropic. So I treat them as interchangeable. So I mix and match camo if I have to. I prefer Pencott Greenzone, ATACS FG, and ATACS ix in that order. But it's hard to find gear in those camos, especially the first two. M81 Woodland comes next and is a bit easier to get. But I don't go out of my way to get specific camos. I do collect camos though, so if some oddball camo is available, that somewhat matches my gear, and is the same price as multicam, I'll grab that instead. Thus why I have a Slovakian multicam boonie. Saying all that, I am also a gear maker, and sometimes will make stuff just for myself in funky camos. But it's rarely cost effective - I'm better off making regular gear and selling it, then using that money to buy gear from other people. So I still buy alot of gear from other companies. Unless it's stuff I generally make already. |

I originally had a mix of Multicam and Coyote Brown. When I divided those pouches up to go on two separate belts- one for 5.56, one for 6.5CM- the situation kinda sorted itself out in that the 6.5 belt is all CB and the 5.56 is all MC. It doesn't matter too terribly much that all the pouches match, but it didn't cost anything additional to make it work out that way when buying more pouches. Whatever 'tism I might have was sidestepped.

I broke down and got Platatac's Billy Pouch V2 from OP Tactical. Not my first time ordering from them, and shipping was prompt as usual. Great job. As for the pouch, it's just what I needed for my 7.62N/6.5CM belt kit. The pouch's main compartment has loop fields on the front and back iterior surfaces, and, with the provided divider, I've arranged it so one subcompartment can hold a radio, while other admin garbage can occupy the rest. A dedicated holster takes up a lot of MOLLE space, but my problem is that I hike with my kit quite a bit sans long arm, making a pistol and the holster to contain it a requirement. The supplied pistol holster insert is fine...if your pistol doesn't have a weaponlight. If it does, don't despair: I was able to put the 2x pistol mag insert in and snug it over to one side as much as I could. There was then enough room for the handgun (Smith M&P with a TLR-1). A piece of shock cord fastened to the D-ring attachment point is more than enough to secure the pistol. If I take a tumble, I'm confident it will still be in there. A few pieces of Velcro One Wrap stacked on top of each other and stuck down on the belt side loop field allowed me to snug up the fit and push the pistol out away from the belt just a bit. I don't feel a need to get a holster to fit in there, but that's an option. This is a first for me, and I'm a gear slut who's bought from many of the big names: there's not one loose end on any of the components that needs to be melted and the stitching is exemplary. As soon as OP Tactical restocks, I'll grab one for my 5.56 belt kit. |

Is anyone using the ANR Short holster mount? I'm using the Safariland belt loop with my ALS holster and would like to bump it down just a bit, it seems SL mid ride mounts push you towards a leg strap. They also have 1.5" and 1.75 belt options, I go between just using a regular 1.5 leather gun belt or using it in a Wilder belt pad; I don't think 1.75 would be an issue but the 1.5 option is nice. https://www.anrkydexholsters.com/product/tactical-belt-mount-system/ |

I like that idea too, but watching his videos it moves around too much. I think sticking the holster and pouches on a pants belt or even using some sort of grippy belt pad would be better. A holster, JSTA pouch and a knife does the same thing and it fits just fine on a pants belt without getting too crowded or heavy. You could even skip the stand alone knife sheath and put it in the mag section with a single pistol mag as long as it's not too long, maybe like an SRK Compact or the like with one wrap wrapped around the sheath. |
