hello everyone, i currently find myself in need of an assault pack without the funds to buy a nice one, however i can get the supplies to make one rather easily. so i was wondering if anyone out there has any plans for a decent 3day pack/small hiking backpack that i can mod to fit my needs. and before anyone says it i have already tried google and alas it failed me (sigh) thanks for any help you can give me!

Do It Yourself Tactical

Time and money spent on materials will probably be more than just buying the last issue Woodland or 3-Color Desert Molle Assault Pack, $25-50.

actually thats where im gonna get the stuff to make it. and as for price vs. surplus stuff wellll......i need it in acu for rotc(now) and active duty(in a years time or so) so i cant use that stuff. plus i plan on heavily modding it to suit me anyway and i know from experience how much harder it is to mod an item vs. modding the pattern before anything gets put together

before you put down the money for an assault pack you better make sure youll be allowed to use it. i know in my rotc unit the only thing resembling an assault pack we're allowed to use is the ALICE ruck we're issued.

Buy a used eagle, tac tailor, hsgi, tag gear, etc one in the EE. Problem solved.

The words Cheap, Custom and Quality don't travel in the same circles.

There is nothing wrong with a cheap Jansport bag while you save for a nicer one.
