That's nice, but if I were to get one that holds justs 3 then I would get this:

MINI MAV

But if I were to get one that holds up to 8 mags then this is the best option:

EAGLE UNIVERSAL CHEST RIG

Just my opinion.....

I like the 2nd option to hold the higher # of mags.

I actually just got the Eagle chest rig the other day, and it's great quality. I'm pretty impressed. Anyone have suggestions as to what might go well in the two spaces to add additional pouches? Don't need anymore ammo pouches, and don't have a radio. Maybe a first aid pouch and....?

It's my favorite rig to actually USE.
It's light, rides well with 3 mags plus small med pouch, surefire sheath, small utility pouch.
If you don't expect to run and jump all day the open top pouches are secure enough and lightning fast.
I have several other setups for SHTF scenarios (others call it dress up) that hold much more ammo 'n stuff, those are a pain compared to this rig.
This would be -in my opinion- the perfect setup for a LEO/active shooter scenarios or 3 gun.
IF I finally learn how to post pics I will show my setup...

well i picked up the rig in my post above just cam in this week

it's pretty badass

only complaint is that it is kinda hard to make a pmag's fit in the holders

next question what should i add to the sides i am thinking a shotgun shell holder

and a med pouch.

there should not be ANY thought about putting a medical pouch in your kit. it should be a given

Truer words were never spoken.

Why are you 'thinking' about a shot shell holder? Is this the rig you will use while employing your shotgun? Then you shouldn't 'think' about the shot shell holder, in this case you NEED it.

is it not likely you'll use this rig with your shotgun? then don't carry the shells. you might also consider a speedfeed stock (awesomeness) or a sidesaddle.

The rig you bought is my favorite because it is LIGHT and FAST (open pouches) keep it that way. don't overload it...

oh yeah, what will you use it for? shoulda asked that first
