Hey gents!  Hoping some one knows where I can get some soft armor panels for the Tactical Applications Group Spartan II!  From my understanding, it accepts Interceptor cut armor.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Once I save some more money up... I'll get plates.  But for now I'm going to at least get something in there.

Thanks!

What size Spartan II do you have?

Gave bullet proof me a call but aparantly they only sell whole vest.  I'd have to take the panels out of that vest and put them in mine.  Kind of a waste of money to go that route....

I always see soft armor inserts on Ebay.  Though some, but not all maybe shady deals.  Maybe try that.

ya... looked there with no luck.

Figured it would be pretty darn easy to find some IBA cut III-A panels.

No. Completely different cut. IBA is split-front, and thus the front panel of most IBA carriers has two "pockets", to hold each front panel in place.

BALCS is a single piece front panel.

Well, I was looking at the pocket for the front panels and there is a small little divider in there.  Well, I can make quick work of that in about half a second with a pair of scissors. Then... BOOM!  One piece front.

Does any one have the dimensions of a XL BALCS cut panel?  Maybe it'll fit right in!

So basically... the Spartan II is a completely useless armor carrier unless youre in the armed forces and happen to have an interceptor to swap its panels into?

LOL!
kinda..
It was the Predecessor to the Marine Corps MTV.
The MTV was actually supposed to be based exacty on the Spartan II but with a single front panel... (Totally different Subject)
So Marines who had IBA's would go into town and buy Spartan I and II's to run a more modular platform..

You'll get some soft armor for it.
Its a great setup IMO.
It puts the rifle plates nice and high so they protect the "Important Shit".
About a month ago Bulletproofme.com had a sale on IBA's for $500 shipped..

Go ahead and punch babies now..
