I am considering buying a weesatch but I have a few questions first.

I already have 10"x12" hard plates but I need soft armor. What shapes of soft armor will this accept. Meaning will it only accept soft armor in the dimensions of a hard plate like 10"x12" or will wrap around soft armor fit?

Also has anyone added a moisture wicking material mesh to these?

Thanks, FMJs-of-Freedom

From what I can remember from mine, they don't hold soft armor at all, short of maybe sticking some in the plate pocket. The Wee/Wa/Woosatches were designed to be plate carriers to be worn over Interceptors or other armor.

I haven't had one for about a year and a half or so, so they might have changed the design.

No change in design.  You could put a plate backer (rectangular piece of soft armor the size of the plate or slightly bigger) in the plate pockets, but it will not accommodate wrap-around armor.

Purchase a quality IIIA concealable soft armor vest and wear the Weesatch over it.

This allows you the capability of wearing the soft armor day in and day out, if you like, while also giving you the base layer of protection needed for your non-stand-alone plates to function properly when "going overt".

FWIW we run stand alone plates in our Weesatch PCs as well as soft armor.

Best of both worlds. Only reason to go bigger than the Weesatch is if you're going to wear it over an Interceptor.

...or if you're a little thick around the middle.
