Well, I should have asked this question before purchasing a few minutes ago, but does anyone have any feedback on the double-rifle drag bags that cheaper than dirt sells??

I've been looking for a double rifle carry device that's not too spendy. It was $90 something shipped, and had good reviews on the site. Thanks ~

No idea but looks pretty sturdy.  Assuming you don't actually plan on dragging it through the bush it will likely hold up well.

I have one in digi camo. The zippers are okay one on the big pocket like to pull apart. with two guns AR plus bolt gun gets a little heavy. all around not a bad bag it is the design I wanted and the price was right. big enough to carry plenty of other crap too. But sometime to much.

lots of options to carry it shoulder straps. single shoulder strap. carry handles. plus drag loop. on that respect its nice. after owning it for a while I don't know if I would drag my target rifle on the ground with it, but then again a don't have to for a job. So all in all just what I expected from cheaper than dirt.

hope to works out for you. sorry for the spelling

Damn!! I'll have to watch the zippers. Thanks Petee.
There were so many good reviews I couldn't pass it up.
A 20" scoped bull barrel AR and a 16" lightweight carbine AR will hopefully fit fine.
If I can find this thread, I'll snap some better pics once I receive it and post up some comments. Thanks ~

Drag bag? Next time, try London Bridge Trading Co. It's the "real deal".

Pricey, but the best.

Actually Eagle Industry is the real deal and has been making them (I think) fist before most others. IMHO they still use the best zippers and fasteners out there!   I use no other drag bag period.  Hope this helps.

The Eagle and the LBT are two different beasts. The Eagle unit I prefer is the $100-ish unit with the paracord on the outside, as it's pretty receptive to garnish. I got to play around with the LBT for quite some time a few years back.  It's insanely overbuilt (right up my alley), and nothing shy of arty will break the thing. It's an awesome piece of kit, and priced accordingly.

And as to my pref? The cheap one from Eagle is all of the drag bag I need. All of my other kit is in my daypack, buttpack, or Ghillie pox. But then again, I don't do this for a living.

I am fairly sure that bag is made by VooDoo Tactical see this one. It may not be due to the double pocket. It could just be a different supplier.

I ordered a 42" rifle soft case identical to one that CTD sells/sold yesterday and I asked them about it. (The case is no longer on CTD and has been out of stock)
The guy at Voodoo said that they had made them for CTD in the past, but CTD placed a great deal of downward pricing pressure on them. Probably kinda like MegaloMart does it's suppliers. It costs what it costs to make and if there's no profit there's no product.

The case is $57.95, CTD had them listed for about $43 I think. I had called Voodoo to find out inside dimensions as my AR is scoped and needs about 12" vertical.
We shall see how it works out, but I think it will be ok fine.

ETA: I looked and looked some more; similar but slightly different and the Voodoo says redesigned so I just don't know.

I think it adds the cool factor. But London Bridge is awesome.   A little spendy though..

I like LBT since they are local to me and stock the lightweight bags in OD and Coyote Tan.

I also like the Eagle Bag since they actually started it all.

The problem with the CTD drag bags are the zippers turn to sh*t quickly and most of all.......ditch the shoulder strap......the metal snap buckle will drop your bag in the dirt with any kind of weight as you turn.  I know this from experience.

If you are using it hard, the cordura is not very heavy duty.  Price is right though, but you get what you pay for.

A quick fix on the shoulder strap is to double tie off Paracord to secure it......take it from someone who knows.
