I currently have a Ambush and this past weekend found I need just a little more room for some essential when trekking through the woods Been looking at the M.U.L.E. but it states the same cargo capacity?? Any suggestions? for something a little bigger then the ambush needs to be ACU though.. Peace |

The only reason I am looking at ACU is that I joined the Guard (barring my physical looks ok) and my Unit is scheduled to deploy next year so looking for something to go with the ACU if I take it with me  I am selling all my MC Tru-Spec clothing though...so I can buy it in a size that fits me better

Ok. Good luck say this is a little off topic but was courious about. What is issued to you guys and what can you bring along as yours It just seems a little odd that you have to get your own back pack, but maybe the guard is less 'gear' orented then say the Army.I tried to join the Guard over 20 years ago ( well Air force first ) but got a big PDQ stamp for a bad foot

Could not tell you what gear is issued since I have not been issued any..I still have to go to my Physical Friday and be sworn in, THEN I am in... |

The one local NG unit I deal with on a regular basis issued BFMs to everyone, but occasionally has the money to purchase other Camelbak items for the soldiers. CB sells direct to military for stupid cheap...I think even below my cost as a dealer. The only packs they're making in MultiCam at the moment are the Thermobak Omega, the Motherlode and one other whose name escapes me at the moment. TimW Phoenix |
The general issue item would be the Camelbak or the copy that comes with the MOLLE gear. It's just a water holder though, no storage space. Kind of like the Termobak. It can fit into the assault pack, though that might be a bit too big for what he wants. It's a little smaller than the Motherlode, or most any of the 3 day packs made. Some units have issued MULES to everyone. |
