I'm looking for a replacement for my USMC issue sleeping system. I've used this system everywhere from Iraq to Norway (in Febuary) and its great. I've never been cold or wet when using this system properly. What I dont like is how heavy the system weighs. This isnt usually a problem unless using both the black and green bags but humping this thing sucks. Does anybody know of a lightweight system that will snap together and fit inside my bivy bag that will keep me as warm in the winter?
Thanks in advance.

I hear snugpak is pretty good, and they're tiny.

Get yourself a couple good, high-fill-count, goose down bags.  Since you are in WA, check out Nunatak and Feathered Friends.  I own Western Mountaineering and Marmot bags.  If you want a lighter and/or more compact synthetic bag, take a look at Integral Designs Primaloft bags.
