This is in no way a defense of ICE tactical.. I was one of the lucky ones and ordered a Padded Belt from them.. took about 3 months. I believe I snuck in right before they started to get popular... then I believe he started to get more orders then he could handle and instead of stopping to take any more orders until he could process the ones he had... he just kept taking orders... and fell farther and farther behind. add to that.. the inability to keep up with customer emails and that nasty little habit of charging your credit card and then making you wait months. This is just my educated guess... He is a a 1 man show and fell into the trap that a lot of 1 man shows often fall into in the gear world. It's no excuse for his lack of customer service.. so you order at your own risk.. do not expect good communication, to not expect speedy service. But the gear is pretty top notch and I love the hell out of my padded Molle belt and I use it as my training rig all the time. I know going into it, that I could be looking at a long wait, so I approached it like gambling money for Vegas... I planned for it, I planned to lose it and I just placed the order and forgot about it. after a couple of months, it showed up (like finding $20 in the pocket of an old pair of jeans) it was a nice surprise. This was well over a year ago... thanks to the internet.. he got popular pretty fast and this most likely would not work today....

Yep, I ordered a belt on 12/18/06, the card was charged right away and I still haven't seen the belt. The only reason why I haven't cancelled my order is it seams to happen to everyone who orders from them. They DO NOT answer emails either.

I didn't get involved in this thread because Eric ordered his and mine at the same time, and handled the entire transaction. I didn't recall Eric mentioning any problems. As he noted above, no issues. I like my belt. It is very comfortable, even when in "full battle loadout". The only negative that is noteworthy, is that the webbing is not consistently spaced. It hasn't created any issues, and if they offered to fix it, I don't know that I'd take them up on it. |

ICE Tactical makes things as they are ordered...yeah, not smart. They don't have a big inventory of stuff already pre-made and they are a small operation. Everyone I know who has ordered from them gets their stuff, but it takes months and months. So far everyone has said their gear is top notch though so maybe its worth the long wait. That said if you're looking for a Multicam Parka they are about the only game in town right now although people keep telling me that Propper will come out with adverse weather gear soon. |
