I did a yahoo search and everything said USMC Digital camo and that it did not have the EGA symbol on it. I am not in the military so can someone give me a brief history on the digital stuff and what is so different from the real US issued stuff? Thanks.

There is plenty of commercial digital camo that is not marpat. The USMC logo is left off, just like the sample fabric the Marines used to create marpat.

I think they are the ones I got my fakepat from. I never got the jacket, I got a letter that they are sold out indefinitely. The pants are "tru spec" They seem nice and heavy. One of the side pockets on the leg was stitched wrong, they are uneven.

These guys have it listed (as do about a million other places including sportsmansguide, but who knows what the quality of that is)

Thanks Sam. There was a magazine in our booking room the other night that had them for $29. I think it was Brigade or something it is gone now.

Thought I would jump in here and make some stuff very clear for you guys looking for Dig BDU's.

The only ones that are worth buying are from TRU-Spec.
They make 2 different kinds
1) is 100% Cotton RIPSTOP "HAS the E.G.A on both desert and woodland. Also has removeable fome inserts in the elbows and knees. Bottons on all pockets.
2) 65/35 poly cotton. "does not have E.G.A and is really only good if its cold outside which means if its hot your going to fry inside one. These don't have fome inserts but a swean in padding which pretty much sucks. Top pockets and shoulders are velco.

I have both kinds and belive me if their not TRU-Spec there not worth owning unless there
an offical release to USMC but even those to me aren't as "nice" as the TRU-Spec.

I think that screaming Marine would be you. EGA E.G.A. what's the difference?, in the English language, it is proper to remove the periods when the contraction is widely known. IE: NASA, NSA, BATF, NAFTA, NATO etc.

GreenO.... I had it wrong the first time I just corrected it. I put EGW instead of EGA and didn't know what either meant.
