Hall of Shame douchebags like Suarez, Yeager, Daryl Bolke, Mickey Berger (Mick Strider), Duane Dwyer, John Willis, etc used to make weekly headlines for their Tomfuckery! We are slipping as a community and need to keep these shitbags antics up to date for unsuspecting members.

It's about as well known as somebody selling 20% of our uranium production and shipping it to Iran with planeloads of cash totaling 1.7 billion. You hear anything about that? Arkancide? EO's authorizing military tribunals and GTMO expanding to hold 13,000 while the Federal Court system now has 30,000 sealed indictments and they are ready to release?

Some carjacker turned knifemaker is effing insignificant in comparison. Get some perspective.

The "perspective" is right here, a forum...........where we discuss firearms and related stuff. We promote Industry good guys and shine a spotlight on turds. That's the kind of thing we do in forums, no?

You brought up a bunch of valid factual info. The kind of topics discussed in GD or other sites dedicated to that type of information flow.

So yeah, relative here because one of those turd's shitty workmanship was showcased in this thread. Any future customers of said turd might have learned a valuable monetary lesson by the discussion and experience shared.

Am I missing something? Did you just want to rant? Confused.

Just picked up the DM version. The current plan is to file a Form 1 to SBS it; put a 10” MCS barrel and MCS forend on it and have my local gunsmith cut the “mag tube” down to the length of the barrel. Then add a high tube stock adapter. And maybe a Salvo

I haven't heard much but I'm not sure they're that popular to get a significant amount of data.

The Magpul handstop did not work out at all for me.  It changed the grip angles on the forend and the stops, regardless of which way you put them, pulled your hand away from the forend while firing.

I'm going to experiment with a strap the runs at a forward angle from the bottom accross to the something that would more match the angle of ones actual grip.

if you are looking for a strap to help control recoil, a comment on my Mossberg addition...after watching the Youtube video of the installation of a commercial strap kit, I built a prototype similar using 550 cord around the grip, running it through the sling stud (you would have to add one to the 870) then tying it to a piece of adjustable 1" nylon strap... looking for a better solution, used a split key ring to anchor the strap to the sling stud, finally just using a quick detachable swivel to the stud (turned it slightly to align the angle) really helps to control the recoil...don't know the longevity, so far only a box of skeet loads

I recommend an SB Brace instead of the SBS.  I have one and it's great.  The angle looks a little odd but it's perfect with a bead sight.  The same drop as my Mesa Urbino stock for my M4.

I never heard of suarez until seeing someone post a link to his site here on Arfcom.
I made the mistake of clicking the link and sending him $300.

There should be a site rule that disallows hot-linking of shithead vendors. Would have saved me a lot of aggravation.

I like what AIP has to offer, but still didnt see a 12.5" option.
Judging by AIP's pricing...  sure looks like Suarez fucked me pretty good.

Edit to add:
Dug the barrel out of storage for pics since im still pissed.
Upon closer examination...  I find the front sight is also deformed from beating with a hammer.

$300 fucking dollars for this mess... and almost 2 months of waiting.

This is the brace system I really want but it makes me nervous. The ATF letter provided by Suarez only mentions an opinion on shouldering the brace. There is no mention that this folding brace has been deemed satisfactory to the ATF.

Can someone prove me wrong? I really want to order this! I've found this online, could I swap the stock for a brace and call it a day? Would still need a grip of course.

A huge thanks to this community, I have learned a lot here.

@LegalLlama

Scroll up and check out fmj_shooter’s setup. The folding adapter you are looking at is a Choate Mfg part available from them direct. It takes any AK type grip (like the Magpul MOE AK) if you don’t like what it comes with and an AR tube and brace of your choosing.

Folding mechanism.

If you don't believe anyone in the industry then you obviously should avoid the matter altogether. SB Tactical, Suarez, Black Aces, etc all have much more knowledge on the subject than anyone. SB literally has a multi-million dollar business built around this.
You want a letter for yourself, then write the ATF. Your link to TFB is nothing more than an isolated incident off a manufacturer circumventing state law and getting mixed up with the ATF. TFB sells shock value and clickbait.

All you've done in this thread page is questions the legality of perfectly legal builds on this thread. Would you believe me if I said Mossberg and Remington will be releasing these with folding braces??? Probably not.

Doesn’t seem like the ATF is all that concerned with the law.

They can interpret the law any way they want (and reinterpret it again a week later)...

This is one of the reasons I went with the fixed KAK tube / brace for my Scorpion & Tac 14.

Yeah, the barrel has since been chopped to 12.4” and a rail installed for a red dot. Also sports Hogue furniture now.

Problem with the Mesa Tactical adapter is that it creates a very high comb and you end up “looking over” the front sight.   It’s not much of an issue if you install a rail/red dot.
