Hey guys I need some help.

Ive inherited a 58 that's been in my family since it was brand new. My dad told me stories of when he was a kid shooting everything from squirrels to dicks to deer with the old shotgun. He has a given it to me to harvest my generations worth of meat.

The problem is is it won't eject the first round shot. I'm thinking it is the ejector but nothing looks out of place (I have another 58 from the same year that cycles just fine). Any of you guys had a problem like this with either the 58 or 1100? From what I've heard the internals are near identical between the two.

Thank ahead of time

Pics would help. Need some of the bolt face and inside the receiver around the ejector. Also have you stripped and cleaned/lubed it? Including the action spring assembly, piston, piston ring and gas ports?

Edited to ads: Check your gas setting too, I forgot about this till now. L for Low brass, H for high brass DO NOT SHOOT HIGH BRASS AMMO IN THE "L" SETTING!!
Low brass ammo won't cycle in the H setting but high brass can damage the end cap in the L setting.
