Get the Williams fire sights that attach to the vent rib with both the front and rear sight.

They are all metal and can be used for sighting in slugs or centering a turkey pattern.

High quality and work great.

Getting the Williams WGRS system. Undecided about the front post right now.

I would not want to have to try keeping a bobbing and weaving turkey head centered in a gost ring sight.

I think you would be better off with a open sight or plain bead.

Do you have the fire sights? How high does the front sight sit? I might have to use that front if it sits up high enough. Looking at a picture it seems like it sits pretty high(which is what I need)

I replaced the cheap plastic sights that came on my Remington factory turkey guns with the metal Williams sights.

Because I'm crazy like everyone else on this site I have an stupid number if dedicated turkey guns.

I used the Williams sights that mount to the vent rib when setting up a 870 20 gauge with a vent rib for my brother. He loves that the sights sit very high.

I tried a turkey scope but feel it limited my field of view on approaching birds.

I think the goast sight would do the same thing.

I like that. I'm still undecided on painting it or not. I really want it dipped in bottomland.

The ghost ring itself is small and if you're looking through it like you should you'll never notice the ring.

Does anyone other than Choate make a synthetic for end for the 20ga?

Like this? 870 Express 16ga. Now if it only had a shorter barrel.

I also had the original stock dipped. I put the collapsible stock on during turkey season, put the other on during squirrel season.

I thought about doing that, but this will be a dedicated turkey gun. I've got several other shotguns to use for wing-shooting/other stuff.

I started playing with camo paint the other day. Did a trial run on an old Red Ryder. It looks okay, but not great. Still have some work to do.

I also sent that stock back since I found one specifically made for the 20 gauge. It is so much better on the comb height. I  also put on a new forend.

Edit: I apologize about the terrible pictures. Once I get my camera back I will take some appropriate pics.

Started the camo today. I think it looks pretty decent. Ill do the receiver once I get the WGRS put on.

Is the Williams sight you used threaded for their smaller aperatures? If so that should be one deadly gobbler stopper with the right load! Love the stock and forend!

Yes it is. I will use the aperture to sight the gun in and leave it out while hunting.

Looks familiar!  Mine is a Supermag, 870.  Knoxx stocks, Comp-N-Choke XXXFull choke, vickers BFG sling, B Square mount and Leupold DeltaPoint!  Will likely dip or paint it before the spring season.

Turkeys hate it!!!

That looks good. I will likely do a 12ga when I get this one 100%. Its been pretty fun so far. I am probably going to pick the gun up tomorrow. Been at the gunsmith getting sights mounted.
