so I had my lifter welded and polished,  but I have had this issue a little before I did this mod.  also note I have a ggg follower, when I go to load ammo some times they go in smooth as silk, then some times  the shell hits the top of the receiver where the tube and receiver meet on the inside of the receiver, its like the angle their or feed ramp if you will is not right and the shell just hits the shoulder of the inside of the receiver and wont go, I have to lift the shell up to meet the tube then push... makes dropin duces hard as heck.

should/can I take the tube out of the receiver and bevel this some more, or am I having a different issue ? I have not done any loading port mods or any of that just the lifter and ggg fowler  as of now

below is a pic, the arrow points to where the shell hits and snags

UPDATE:

I fixed the issue, turns out it was not hitting where the arrows where pointing after all, it was snagging on the area that holds the shells in the tube, that little "claw" seen to the left of the left arrow, I polished that area up  and slightly rounded the claw's tip and the two corners and presto smooth as butter, no snags or stoppages,  I can drop duces all day long no issues

The “feed ramp” edge can be abrupt. You can slightly bevel and round off the edge to allow shell to slip past it easier.

Is the welded lifter any longer than the original –or did you just fill in the U in the end?  Extra length and shape on the lifter can fill in / match up to the “feed ramp” and make loading much smoother.

Here is a good example of  an extended lifter from C-Rums:
