Looking at shotguns to keep by the bed for home defense. Have been looking at the Mossberg Mav 88 and the Remington 870 Express. Both 12 gauge. Both with the short 18" barrels
For this purpose only is there really that much difference to pay $100 more for Remington |
| Think it's easier to get an extended magazine for the Remmy. Both are solid shotguns. Check yer' local pawnshop, they will have an 870 cheaper than new. If the wife is going to use it, or you practice a lot, look @ reduced load buckshot, or a 20 ga. 20 ga w/ a pistol grip is a joy. |
