What parts would you recomend to do a rebuild an Remington 1100. This gun is 40 years old and has never had any major work. Now starting to give the owner grief.
Owner has put an estimated 25000 rounds through the gun.

Im not a gunsmith but I rebuilt one last year that was pretty old.  I bought it used so had no idea how it worked before, but here is everything I replaced just to be sure:

Action spring
Follower spring (clean out tube as well) and follower if necessary
Firing pin and spring
Extractor and spring
Bolt buffer
Gas piston and o ring

I'm pretty sure that covers most of the parts that could give you problems if left ignored. I didnt replace anything in the trigger group so you may also give those parts a once over.  Good luck.
