I only shot a little over 100 rounds so far. No problems. This thing is smooth & fast and there is not much recoil, even with slugs. Couple guys at the range shot it and compared it with the recoil of a 20g. I can't remember what a 20g feels like, so I can't say one way or the other. I read complaints about the lack of packaging on the Versa Max and would agree that better packaging is needed. I am impressed the gun, but not the packaging. For this kind of money I wish they would ship in a hard case.
The only problem with the gun is the threads on the nut that joins the mag tube/extension was fouled up. I had to use channel locks and a rubber pad to break it free. It appears as if someone cross-threaded it when they assembled it. I'll have to register it with Remington and see if they will send a new one free of charge. |
