Can anyone list the semi auto shotguns that can be  made to have a folding stock...under 500. So far I have the Remington 11-87 and the hatsan escort .....are their any others?    As a bonus they need to have an option of an extended mag tube 7+1
I've do a bit of research on line but not many show the butt stock field stripped.

The Remington looks so far to be the best option...but I'm looking for a platform that's plentiful..looking to produce a product for said platform.

 Thanks for your time.

The Remington 11-87, like the Benelli M1, M2 and M4, use action spring tubes that double as buttstock attachment points.  They are not compatible with a folding or collapsing stock.

See part #7 below.  This prevents use of folding or collapsing stocks.

Sage International used to do recoil spring conversions of the 1100 that relocated the recoil spring assembly to the magazine tube, thus allowing pistol grip only or folding/collapsing stocks.  They were called Sage Sidewinders. They discontinued this many years ago.

Home-Invader nailed it on the head. The 11-87, 1100, M1, M2 etc have a recoil spring that goes back into the stock, much like the AR design.

The only ones that I know of off the top of m head are the Saiga 12's, and one version of the Benelli M3. The common Benelli M3 has the recoil spring like the Remingons, bu here was a rare top-folding stock that was made at one time. These have the recoil spring around the mag tube if I recall correctly, very similar to what Home-Invader was talking about. These are hard to come by, and are bringing in top dollar.

Here is a pic of the Benelli M3 Top-Folder:

The Winchester 1400 does not use spring or tube in the stock. You may be able to locate a folding stock for it.

Doesn't the 1400 only hold two in the magazine tube due to the whole recoil mechanism being located IN the magazine tube?

Funny you would mention the Mossberg 9200A1. I have one on the way. NIB with folding stock. Not the easiest gun to find these days. Fortunately the price was right.

Are their new ATF rules about shotguns.?.....hatsan escort semi autos were at a bunch of fun shops and fairly abundant a few years ago...now not so much...legacy still lists them on their web page though...I'll have to call around and see if their still an option....other wise back to the pump...lol

Thanks for all the great info guys....I thank you all for you time.
