Hey, looking at getting a Speedfeed III or IV stock for my 870, but I've never had the opportunity to use one. What are your thoughts on them, and if you were me, and you had a shell holder on the side already, would you get the III (the one that holds 4 shells in the stock)?
Any input is appreciated. |
| Ive got one on my 1100, pistol grip model. Never had issues with rounds falling out. Sometimes they get a little stuck coming out if you put rounds in breech end first. Insert rounds primer first and they should feed reliably. Also I had to shorten the rear sling swivel screw because it ran into the spring channel and only 1 round was able to be loaded. |

Seems like a pretty simple oversight by Speedfeed, lol. Quoted:

I would. I keep slugs only in the stock recesses. Do you have problems with the shells falling out of the stock under recoil?? I've heard a few people complain about that. Never. Alright, cool. Thanks fellas, I'm heading to Gander Mtn. to try one out, despite my hate for that store... |
