I'm wondering if the members of the Hive who own Benelli M2s could posts some pics and tell me a little about them. I have searched this form and found some info, but not many pics (i haven't look through the pic thread completely). I'm very interested in this shotgun and it is probably my next purchase. I looked at the Benelli website for the M2 Tactical, but I wanted to get owner feedback and also some heads up of what I may need to consider purchasing with gun, such as an extension tube. I have a bud that has a M1, but I don't think those are made anyore. Thanks in advance for any info and pics. |

Nope M1s are not made anymore........the M2 is just basically the M1 with enhancements(cryo barrel, better stock, better chokes) Dont second guess it......the M2 tactical is hands down the best shotty I have owned, its going to be hard to come by factory extension tubes now(thank BATF for that) and if you do find one gone are the $60 days....more like $300 now. So with that said....you can still own extension tubes, I think the best on the market are made by Davesmetalworks.com......only other things I would add is Daves bolt handle(awesome product), a Nordic track barrel clamp if you want to add a light, and a nice sling......done.

What barrel length are you using? |

And yes, Houston area shows are typically the best place buy. |

Looks great Renegade. What length is that tube? Is it a standard cap? I need to order one for mine and I'm trying to figure out which length will come closet to the end of the barrel. |

I wrote a review once on a shotgun forum, and then forgot about it. Found it again a while ago. It's been viewed 50,000 times since written. So somebody liked it!

I use Daves bolt handle.....I dont like the funky design of the Nordic....both will serve you just fine.......as far as what mag extension I use, mine are all factory :)
I just got a Mesa tactical urbino stock for the M2......this will drop the LOP by almost 2inches.......will do a write up when i get it |

If you get one, I highly recommend replacing the bolt handle with one of Nordic's. I went with the BFB, and it is MUCH easier to operate. I'll post some pics tomorrow. I too chose the Nordic BFB. I only use my shotgun for casual clays, but it makes handling the gun so much nicer then the stock handle |

I ran a factory extension on my Supernova when I had it.
I think allot of people are turning to the aftermarket companies due to the rediculous price of factory tubes. I read a little while back that they stopped improrting them to the states, making the prices go even higher. FWIW, I paid 60 bucks for a +2 extension with a sling plate, a used one (used, not abused). |
