| There is still an import ban on semi auto shotguns which can hold more than 5 rounds unless they have no more than 10 foreign manufactured parts (there's a specific list of parts out there). Chances are if you add a mag tube extension to your gun made after 1989, you'll have to add another 2-3 US parts to be compliant. These would probably be US made followers, handguards or stocks. Maybe someone knows the exact number because it varies by design. Legally that's your answer. No one can recall anyone being prosecuted for violating this provision and many will tell you not to lose any sleep over it. |
