G'day does anyone know if firing a 16 gauge single shot Harrington and Richardson that has no extractor in it would cause any troubles. I have been told that the small space where the extractor should be would allow gasses to escape and cause troubles. Any help on the subject would be appreciated.

You might need a rod to punch the shell out, other than that, if the barrel and action are sound, there should be no problem.
